Dr. Danika Jackson
Dr. Jackson always prioritizes building strong and lasting relationships with her patients. It is consistently rewarding to help people achieve a healthy mouth while getting to know them at the same time! It’s also fun finding out how many things they have in common and discovering countless 'small world' connections. Alongside our fun and happy team, she says that our office is just a great place to be and allows her to do her best work while making sure our patients feel right at home. She can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself, but first, you can learn more about her below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
As a child, Dr. Jackson was always interested in teeth, and she knew she wanted to go into healthcare. When she shadowed her dentist while in high school, it was instantly clear that it was the career for her. Dentistry is the perfect combination of art and science, and she loves having a hands-on job. As a dentist, she gets to care for patients while also being artistic, like when placing and shaping fillings to resemble and function like an idealized tooth.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Since graduating from the College of St. Benedict and earning her dental degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Jackson has taken numerous continuing education courses focused on orthodontics. Specifically, she is skilled at providing clear aligners, Phase 1 (early-age) orthodontics, and correcting bite issues.
Professional Achievements
Additionally, she has completed training focused on laser dentistry and same-day crowns, and she is an active member of the Spear Study Club. On top of this, she is a member of the following:
- American Dental Association
- Minnesota Dental Association
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Jackson was born and raised in Minnesota and met her husband, Danny, while in high school. They got married in 2020 and currently live within five minutes of both sets of parents. In her free time, you’ll often find her reading, baking, traveling, waterskiing in the summer, downhill skiing in the winter, and playing with her foster cats (she has done this since dental school and has helped over 15 cats find forever homes, minus Nora, who she adopted). During the colder months, you’ll usually catch her watching football and hockey games (Go Vikings and Wild!).
